Thanksgiving is all about food, family, and gratitude – and for Travis Kelce, it’s also about choosing the right side dishes. In a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Travis and his older brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star opened up about his Thanksgiving plate and revealed which sides make the cut. Surprisingly, his mom’s famous dinner rolls were left off the list.

During the Nov. 27 episode, the brothers were discussing their partnership with wellness company AG1 when the topic of Thanksgiving food naturally came up. Jason, who retired from the NFL, teased his younger brother about his side dish preferences. Travis didn’t hesitate to name two favorites: mac and cheese and candied yams. Despite being known for his healthy lifestyle, Travis admitted that neither of these classic sides gives him stomach issues – a nice perk for someone who’s lucky enough to have a “healthy gut.”

As for Jason, he shared his love for green bean casserole, which he declared a holiday essential. “I love green bean casserole,” he said with a grin, adding a personal touch to the conversation.

Interestingly, Travis’ mom’s rolls, a cherished holiday staple for many, didn’t make the cut this year, sparking curiosity among fans. But no matter the side dish selection, it’s clear that the Kelce brothers know how to make Thanksgiving special with their unique preferences. And with all three dishes mentioned by Travis and Jason making the list of America’s top Thanksgiving sides, it’s safe to say they’re in good company.

So, this holiday season, whether you’re reaching for mac and cheese, candied yams, or green bean casserole, take a page out of the Kelce brothers’ playbook – and don’t forget to pass the wellness drink to help keep you feeling good!
