Brian May names his favourite Queen song of all time – and they never played it live

After bursting on the scene in 1970, Queen dominated the charts with iconic hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, and Under Pressure.

Their impact continues to be felt today with the majority of the Western world knowing the lyrics to all their songs.

The 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody was also named the most successful movie biopic of all time, at the time after amassing £735 million at the global box office from a £40 million budget.

Despite their most popular songs, guitarist Brian May revealed that he prefers the less appreciated tracks.

Yet, when it comes to taking the stage, the musician confessed their 1977 hit We Will Rock You, is his favourite tune to perform.

During an appearance on The One Show, he shared: “I still love playing them all, I have to be honest. I would have to say We Will Rock You.

“Especially as this is the moment when we’re relaunching the musical that is named after that song. It always gives me a good feeling.”

However, this doesn’t relate to his preferred Queen song, as Brian unveiled his favourite tune during a Q&A session on the band’s YouTube channel.

He stated: “I’m going to pick a song that not everybody knows out there, which is called The Miracle, which Freddie wrote that I always thought has a strange, unique magic to it.
