As reported in NME, Jennifer Hudson is all set to release her new album, The Gift of Love, in October 2024. Fans are excited for this release as it will be Jennifer’s first album after a decade. It is worth noting that the singer released her third album, JHUD, in 2014.

NME further stated that this announcement came after the singer recently signed with Interscope Records.

The singer also teased the album on her Instagram account, as she posted a video of her decorating a Christmas tree:

“I am SO excited to announce my limited engagement holiday tour, ‘The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience’.”

In a separate post urging fans to pre-order her album, Jennifer Hudson announced the release date, stating that her first-ever holiday album will be available on October 18, 2024.

Hudson has released three albums before this holiday album in her career: Jennifer Hudson in 2008, I Remember Me in 2011, and JHUD in 2014.

Additionally, People Magazine reported that the album will include around 15 tracks, many of which will be covers. Some songs mentioned include Hallelujah, Carol of the Bells, O Holy Night, Make It to Christmas, Go Tell It On the Mountain, Jingle Bells, and Auld Lang Syne.

The 43-year-old singer started her career with American Idol and later moved on to do many other shows as an actor, like Sex and the City, The Secret Life of Bees, Winnie, Black Nativity, Cats, Respect, Hairspray Live, Tell it Like a Woman, Breathe and many more.

On the other hand, she has also appeared in many TV series, like The X Factor, Project Runway, Empire, Smash, The Voice UK, Saturday Mash-Up, The Jennifer Hudson Show, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Furthermore, many of Hudson’s tracks like If This Isn’t Love, Where You At, Think Like a Man, It’s Your World, Spotlight, Giving Myself, and Golden Slumbers have ranked high on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Hudson has won many awards and nominations, including an Academy Award, Critics’ Choice Award, Golden Globe Award, Tony Awad, Screen Actors Guild Award, and even two Grammys.

The singer, known for her popular songs, is one of the youngest women ever to achieve EGOT status, winning an Emmy, a Grammy, and an Oscar, which are considered some of the most prestigious awards.

As Hudson announced her new album, netizens flooded in with messages and comments, expressing their excitement about the release.
