In a turn of events that left fans and analysts alike on the edge of their seats, the much-anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul was delayed after the legendary boxer suffered an ulcer flare during a flight. However, Tyson’s resilience and indomitable spirit have been the highlight of his recovery journey.

The boxing icon hasn’t let this setback dampen his spirits. Recently, Tyson was seen celebrating his birthday with family and friends, showcasing his unwavering zest for life. Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, provided an update on Tyson’s health during an appearance on ‘MMA Hour’ with Ariel Helwani.

When asked about Tyson’s current condition, Bidarian assured fans that the former heavyweight champion is on the mend. “Mike is doing well in his recovery,” Bidarian said, though he noted that Jake Paul is less than pleased. “Jake is pissed because he sees Mike in Europe living life, doing appearances, celebrating his birthday.”

Despite his health scare, Tyson appears to be regaining his strength and body conditioning, although he hasn’t resumed boxing training just yet. This cautious approach is crucial as Tyson aims to fully recover before stepping back into the ring.

The discussion also touched upon the concerns surrounding Tyson’s age and the feasibility of the fight. Helwani posed a critical question: “What do you say to people who say the Tyson fight should not happen, shouldn’t have happened before, and shouldn’t happen now?”

Bidarian’s response was a testament to Tyson’s enduring legacy. “If Mike were in his early 30s, given Jake’s experience, there’s no sense to the fact that age is the equalizing factor.” He emphasized Tyson’s extraordinary record by the age of 27—40 wins and one loss—highlighting the excitement and unpredictability this fight brings. “What makes this fight exciting, what makes it real, is that there is a chance that either guy can lose.”

Bidarian further reassured fans of Tyson’s health status. “As long as he has a clean bill of health, which he did, and he will 100% have if we move forward with November 15th, which we plan to, then of course that fight should happen.”

The anticipation surrounding the Tyson-Paul fight continues to build, with fans eagerly awaiting the confirmation of the new fight date. Tyson’s recovery and readiness to return to the ring serve as a powerful reminder of his enduring spirit and unyielding dedication to the sport of boxing.
