Pink is back on stage! After a brief hiatus due to illness, the 44-year-old artist triumphantly resumed her Summer Carnival Tour in Copenhagen, Denmark on Saturday, July 6. The pause came after she had to cancel a concert in Switzerland, much to the disappointment of her fans.
Pink Returns to Stage After Illness
The pop icon took to Instagram to share her excitement and anticipation for her return to the stage. In a clip posted to her Instagram Stories, Pink expressed her enthusiasm about performing in Copenhagen, highlighting her use of a humidifier to prepare her voice. On her main feed, she conveyed her eagerness to connect with her audience once again.
Pink’s return followed a heartfelt apology to her fans for the canceled show in Switzerland. She explained that despite her best efforts, her doctor had advised against performing. “I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and am so disappointed that we have to cancel. All tickets will be refunded. Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon,” she wrote.
In her Instagram Story, she rallied her fans with a spirited, “Let’s do this, Copenhagen. Let’s kick some ass.”
All About Pink’s Comeback Tour Performance
The Summer Carnival Tour, which began at the University Of Bolton Stadium in England in June 2023, is part of the promotion for her ninth studio album, Trustfall. The tour is set to continue through Brussels, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and various cities in Germany, culminating in Miami this November. Notably, the tour has already secured its place as the eighth top-earning concert tour by a female artist.
This isn’t the first time Pink has had to cancel a concert due to personal issues. In October 2023, just three days after canceling a Washington show due to a family medical issue, she postponed her Vancouver dates because of a respiratory infection. Through Instagram, she shared her regret and reassured fans that Live Nation was working towards rescheduling the affected shows.
Looking Forward
As Pink resumes her tour, she is filled with gratitude and anticipation. Her message to fans is clear: health and safety come first, but the show will go on. Her resilience and dedication to her fans are evident as she continues to bring her energy and passion to each performance.
With her return to the stage in Copenhagen, Pink not only reassured her fans of her commitment but also set the tone for the rest of her tour. She looks forward to performing again and wishes good health for everyone, embodying the spirit and strength that her fans admire.
