Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.—better known professionally as Lil Wayne, paid $16.8 million for his freshly built Miami Beach mansion just about four years ago. The exclusive guard-gated property is located on Allison Island, which directly overlooks Biscayne Bay. The rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive just placed the contemporary residence on the market at $29.5 million.
The significantly increased price is due to the upgraded amenities Lil Wayne implemented in the dwelling. There is a commercial-grade elevator, plush movie theater, wine cellar, and dedicated staff quarters with a butler’s kitchen. The property also features a dock and 110 feet of waterfront footage.
The extravagant home was built in 2017 by Miami developer Laurent Harari and designed by architect Ralph Choeff. Tucked away on a half-acre parcel, the home has architectural features such as a walkway crossing a reflecting pool at the front entrance. The seven-bedroom, 11-bath pad contains almost 10,300 square feet of living space, complete with 22 foot ceilings and just as tall windows.
You’ll be greeted with a custom mahogany entryway that flows to an impressive great room, finished with an eye-catching fireplace and sliding doors that open to the backyard. The home also includes a dining room, which connects to a family room, an eat-in gourmet kitchen, high-end Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and access to a courtyard full of greenery.
The floating staircase leads to the second floor, which holds the 2,500-square-foot main retreat. The room is equipped with a sitting area, expansive private terrace, a walk-in closet and dual bathrooms. The backyard takes you to a tropical-inspired oasis that hosts a large pool, an open-air cabana with its own kitchen and bath, as well as plenty of spots to lounge and soak up the Miami sun.
